Integrate Estimated Delivery Dates

Step 1. Download the Estimated Delivery Dates App

Download the Estimated Delivery Dates app by Convert Logistics from the Shopify app store. Any subscription payment will be handled through Shopify. A Convert Logistics account will be created for you automatically and setup based on your Shopify store information.

Step 2. Add Carriers

Within the Estimated Delivery Dates App, navigate to the Carriers page and add 1 or more supported delivery carriers that service your warehouse(s). If your delivery carrier is not listed, choose "Other".

* You can also add a "carrier delay" for any carrier you find to deliver slower than expected. This can be useful for extending your estimated delivery dates shown to customers across all products at a time if you find the suggested estimates to be too aggressive.

Step 3. Add Warehouses

Within the Estimated Delivery Dates App, navigate to the Warehouses page. Verify, update, or add your warehouse(s) address. Also, assign any carriers that pickup at each warehouse location to the warehouse(this may be all carriers if you only have 1 warehouse). You can also set the delivery type and the expected pickup time each day.

* You need a full and accurate address for each warehouse so our system can compute our most accurate delivery date estimates to your customer based on their location.

Step 4. Copy your API Key

Now, head over to the Credentials page and generate an API Key for your domain. Copy the API Key to be used in your integration.

* If an API Key has already been generated, you can use the existing key

Step 5. Add Estimated Delivery Dates to your product template

Next, configure the Estimated Delivery Dates app in your theme settings to allows customers to see estimated delivery dates when viewing products.

First, within the Shopify Admin Portal, choose Online Store -> Themes then choose and customize your theme. At the top, in the dropdown menu, change the page type to the "Product Template".

Once on the Product Template for your theme, choose Add Block. Select the Estimated Delivery block and drag it to be just above the Buy buttons block or wherever works best within your design.

Now, select the Estimated Delivery block to customize its settings. Paste the copied API Key from Step 4 within the settings. Modify any other settings and Save.

Step 6. Test your integration

You're all set! Test your integration out and you're ready to go live!

After the integration

After adding the Estimated Delivery Dates app and setting the Estimated Delivery Dates block in the theme template and adding your API Key, you’re all set.

If your integration is correct, all future Product, Order, and Tracking information should populate automatically over time.

Product information will sync over when Estimated Delivery Dates are computed.

Order and Tracking information will sync over as orders are created and orders are fulfilled.

Holidays (Optional)

Within the Estimated Delivery Dates app, navigate to the Holidays page, choose the domain you want to set holidays for, then set any upcoming, observed, holidays that you would like displayed to the customer.

Ex: Arrives before Holiday

Product Warehouses / Product Fulfillment Delays (Optional)

Within the Estimated Delivery Dates app, navigate to the Products page, to see a list of all products added to Convert Logistics. You can choose to edit warehouse and fulfillment information. Choose the edit button.

When a product is first edited, you will be asked to assign the product to a warehouse. Assign the product to the appropriate warehouse(s). Once assigned, you can add product level fulfillment delays (in hours) and/or modify the pickup time for the item. Each of these settings has an impact on delivery times.

In most cases, you will not need to customize this information for each product, but in some instances, this can be really useful. For example, if products become back ordered and delivery messaging needs to be updated to reflect the delay. Once the issue has been resolved, you can reset the fulfilment delay back to 0.

* Products are added the first time they have a computed delivery date. This usually means the first time that product is viewed and shown delivery date information on your website.
